Dan Lynch was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and now resides in Berkeley, California.

At the age of 15,Dan designed the architectural blueprints of a home constructed in Michigan. He excelled in computer graphics (CG), and in his early 20s became a teaching assistant for the Academy of Entertainment Technology (AET). Dan advanced to a co-instructor at AET and interned for Side Effects Software (SESI), and by the age of 24, he was teaching for SESI.

On their behalf, he presented a lecture involving CG Architecture at the 34th Annual ACM Siggraph conference. Dan's algorithmic method for the generation of procedural urban environments was recently demonstrated to Pixar Animation Studios. Dan also presented other technical lectures in CG to software engineers from Apple, animators from Sony, and DreamWorks. He continues to teach for SESI, where he has developed a series of classes, and some of them are incorporated into the curriculum of Santa Monica College's special effects program.

Music is a passion for Dan. As sinusoidal waves of sound percolate through his mind, he is inspired by music. Classical musicians such as Claude Debussy and Tchaikovsky are not only important for Dan, but they also encourage him to write music of his own. He plays guitar,piano, and trumpet, while also composing jazz and electronic music occasionally. You can check out Music composed by Dan Lynch. Dan finds rejuvenation in physical and mental activities. Dan has flown a plane over Niagra Falls, likes photography, and was president of The SMC Math Club. He works out everyday; skateboarding, biking, swimming,waterskiing, barefooting, anything where he has to push himself to the limits.

Dan is attending UC Berkeley on an academic scholarship majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
